Vocational qualifications in gcse years

We accept referrals from schools for Key Stage 4 students (14-16 years old) to join our City & Guilds’ construction skills programme and work towards a vocational qualification to complement their school curriculum.

We have run this programme for several years and find that a vocational element to a young person’s curriculum can help them find the direction and focus they need to complete their GCSE years and go on to either college or apprenticeship.

We maintain a high tutor to student ratio with typically no more than six students assigned to an Construction Skills Instructor. Students work at their own pace on their own modules and projects and the Instructor moves round from student to student. This allows each student to follow their own bespoke course.
